Abstract

Microencapsulated human parathyroid tissue preserves the viability and high ability to secrete parahormone in the remote terms after transplantation to rats with experimental hypo-parathyroidism, which suggests good prospects of using this tissue in the presence of compensated hypofunctional state of parathyroid system in clinical practice.

Keywords: Parathyroid, microencapsulation, hypoparathy-roidism, xenotransplantation, histology, parathormone.
