Abstract
The study involved 70 patients with type 1 diabetes who were under medical care in the clinical city hospital. Patients were divided into two groups: group I included patients with severe form of diabetes with complications and group II included patients without complications. The cytokine profle in the diabetes mellitus patients was investigated. The study showed that all indices of proinfammatory cytokines in patients of both groups were higher than in control healthy subjects. The positive correlation between the level of proinfammatory cytokinеs in blood and severity of the course of disease was revealed.
