Abstract

Studied mental performance in high school students under different weather conditions. Deterioration, perception, attention, memory, and thinking have been found to impair them. The mental capacity of 15-year-old students at type I was 0.90 ± 0.04 ppm, and for type III it was significantly lower – 0.78 ± 0.03 ppm than for I and II types; for students of 16 years under conditions of type I the weather was 0.94 ± 0.02 ppm, for II it was probably worse, compared to the values for type I (0.86 ± 0.02 ppm), and for type III its values were 0.80 ± 0.02 ppm, which is probably less than those of type I meteosituations; in high school students of 17 years at the first type of weather the mental capacity coefficient reached 0.89 ± 0.02 ppm, and at the third type it probably decreased to 0.74 ± 0.03 ppm, compared to the values at the meteorological situations I and II types. The age and gender peculiarities of mental performance revealed by us in different weather conditions should be taken into account in differentiating training and predicting work efficiency.

Keywords: mental efficiency; senior students; perception; attention; memory; thinking; weather conditions.
