Contemporary challenges of pathophysiology as a discipline. Where are we going?
O.V. Ataman
Sumy State University, Ukraine
Abstract
Pathophysiology holds a special place among the subjects taught at the modern national medical high school. And not only because it is the foundation of medicine, the theoretical basis of the doctor's practice, but also because of its historical origins. After all, pathological physiology is a national discipline, which stood out in a separate department in the second half of the nineteenth century. It was then that the first Departments of Pathological Physiology (General Pathology) were created in Russia (VV Pashutin) and in Ukraine (NA Khrzhonchevsky).
