Head of Laboratory of Neurohormonal Control of Reproduction (1973-1991), Head of Department of Endocrinology of Reproduction and Adaptation, V.P.Komisarenko Institute of Endocrinology and Metabolism by National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine (since 1991).

Main areas of research activities: basic problems of endocrine physiology and pathophysiology,  neuroendocrinology,  reproductive endocrinology, pathogenesis of endocrine and hormone-dependent diseases, endocrine pharmacology. A. Reznikov is one of the founders of functional neuroteratology (sex brain differentiation, prenatal stress syndrome). He justified a new branch of medicine – preventive neuroendocrinology and is known as the author of the concept of hormone-neurotransmitter imprinting of developing brain. He has developed novel modalities of treatment of the endocrine and cancer diseases (drugs: chloditan, niftolid, flutafarm, flutafarm-femina), designs and optimum criteria for preclinical study of antiandrogens, preparations for treatment of obesity, hormonal and neurotropic drugs.

A. Reznikov is the author of 595 publications,  books and periodicals included (with 108 ones abroad), including 34 monographs (2 in English) and text-books on pathological physiology and endocrinology, 21 inventions and patents.

A. Reznikov used to be supervisor of 8 doctoral candidates and 25 PhD students.  Visiting Professor at University of Texas (1990), University of Western Ontario and University of Toronto (1995-1996) Professor of National University “Kyiv-Moghyla Academy” (1997-1998).
